Frequently Asked Transport Questions
Q: Why do we have to use the park and ride system?
A: The Park and Ride system is for anyone who is not camping at the event. Getting dropped off on any of the surrounding roads is an unsafe option. The festival organisers strive to avoid any form of injury or harm when patrons are arriving and leaving the festival.
Q: Why can't we get dropped off and picked up at the festival?
A : Nambour Connection Road is a major arterial road and the M1 is Queensland's biggest highway, which makes them unsafe for foot traffic during such a major event. Getting dropped off and picked up causes massive traffic congestion, which slows everybody down and makes it harder to get to and from the event. Police will be monitoring the area and we don't want you to get a fine.
Q Do the Buses run return trips?
A: Yes. Bus bookings are for a return trip. You do not need to book a seat for your return journey. Buses will run until everyone is off site.
Q: Can I catch a Taxi to and from the festival?
A: Yes you can catch a taxi to and from the festival; however, we recommend that you book a bus, as taxis are limited.
Q: Can I catch an UBER to the festival?
A: No. There is NO UBER DROP OFF at the event site, however, UBER drop-offs and pick-ups can be made from our park and ride locations. From there you catch the shuttle.
Q: Can we still drive our car if we are camping?
A: YES all campers are permitted to bring their car into the campsite and park next to their tent as per previous years... nothing has changed there :)
Q. Can I walk to the festival?
A. No you cannot walk to the festival. Patrons who live nearby are asked to use the closest park and ride location.
Thank you for your cooperation.
