Do I have to wear wristbands?
Yes, everyone within the festival venue is required to wear a wristband at all times. On entry to the festival, your ticket will be exchanged for a wristband. The wristband will act as your pass so it must be worn at all times. Without this wrist band you will not gain entry.

Can I drink alcohol at the festival?
Yes. You must be over 18 years to drink alcohol. There are several licensed bars within the festival venue. Please ensure to bring along a valid and current form of photo of ID (eg licence, passport, and proof of age card). All alcoholic beverages must be consumed within the designated areas. You can purchase drink tickets at the drink ticket boxes and exchange these for beverages at the designated bar areas. Bags will be inspected upon entry by security. No alcohol may be bought into the festival as it is against liquor licensing laws. It will be confiscated and disposed of and you will risk not being approved entry if you are caught.

Can I park at The Big Pineapple?
There is plenty parking available at The Big Pineapple (see map). Parking is prohibited along the Nambour connection road side. Parking is supplied behind the event grounds at the car park and behind the camping grounds. Catching public transport is recommended. There will be a shuttle bus service provided.

Can I buy food at the festival?
Definitely! There will be a great variety of food stalls available at the festival venue.

Can I bring food or drink into the festival?
No food is to be bought into the festival. If you have allergy’s that require food to be bought please leave it in your vehicle. Bag searches will apply on entry.

What should I bring?
• ID – you must present your ID on entry to the festival to validate age
• Remember to include your contact details on any medication in case you happen to lose medication and it can be handed in.
• Money and tickets. There will be no refunds for tickets purchased in advance.
• Sun protection including hat, sunscreen and water
• If it’s forecast to rain bring some wet weather gear as the festival will continue rain, hail or shine. Umbrellas are not allowed.
• You can bring a picnic rug into the venue but must be kept in the back half of the park in all areas.

What should I leave at home?
Pets, directors chairs or chairs of any kind, umbrellas, esky’s, glass, alcohol or drugs, weapons (including pocket knives), fireworks and anything flammable or dangerous. These items will be confiscated on entry.

Can I bring my camera?
Yes you can bring a small still or digital camera. Professional cameras or recording devices will be confiscated.

Is there anything I need to know about entry to the festival?
If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will be refused entry. We have the right to refuse entry where we see fit. There will be fencing patrolled by security guards at all times, so forget about trying to sneak in. Police will deal will any offenders. Crowd surfing is not permitted and moshers risk being ejected from the festival venue and refused further entry.

Yes definitely! There will be a stall at the festival where you can purchase artist CD’s etc. You will also be able to purchase official Big Pineapple Music Festival merchandise.
