Originally from the Blue Mountains, Cloud Control released their debut album Bliss Release in 2010. Released through Ivy League Records, the album won the Australian Music Prize (AMP), a Sydney Music Arts & Culture (SMAC) award, two Australian Independent Records (AIR) awards and was nominated for two ARIA awards, with single There’s Nothing In The Water We Can’t Fight reaching number 18 in triple j’s Hottest 100.
Following this success, the band signed with the UK-based label Infectious Records, and relocated to London. For three years, the band the globe extensively selling out shows and supporting the likes of Arcade Fire, Vampire Weekend, and the Foo Fighters.
Their second album Dream Cave was released in 2013 and built on the worldwide acclaim. The album debuted at #9 on the ARIA charts, took out a second SMAC award for Record of the Year, with single Dojo Rising and Scar again placing in the business end of triple j Hottest. Having relocated back to Sydney in 2013, in between extensive touring, Cloud Control have been self-producing a new album with a travelling home-studio that has traversed the varied landscapes of NSW. The new, as-yet-untitled Cloud Control album is due for release in 2017.
